Decussate Magazine: Issue 6 “The Naughty Issue”

Alyssa worked with the well known Austin, Tx based Decussate Magazine to write a piece about NFTs, the future of art in a world where technology evolves faster than both artists and audience can keep up with. Originally published in 2022 Alyssa wanted to explore the new trends in tech and what that means for artists. At the time, most artists were frustrated by the topic of NFTs and did not want to put attention towards the subject. But, its influence on art and technology’s role in it have become more relevant today as discussions about Midjourney and AI art and their influence on art ethics regarding ownership, theft and copyright have encompassed the conversations in multiple fields.

For the 6th issue of Decussate Mag. I wrote and article detailing my artistic opinion on NFTs and how they affect artists. The approach I took for this particular piece was to give an honest look something that was taking over artistic talk. But coming at it with a tone that was humorous and evaluative.
